The TOMA Foundation is fortunate in
becoming more and more recognised for its community efforts in burn and fire prevention
and its work with burned children in Ontario and Québec. Several high profile
organisations such as the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs have written about the
Foundation in their member newsletters and our deepest thanks go out to OAFC and their
Executive.
Another such organisation is the Canadian Volunteer
Fire Services Association. Thanks to the Managing Editor of the Association's Magazine
"The Volunteer Voice",
Jennifer Brown, the Foundation is a permanent contributor and
has a full page chronicle in each issue of this popular and much coveted magazine.
Recognition is also stemming from the Corporate sector.
Wal-Mart Canada and its store Managers are truly fine examples of community
involvement and commitment to local charitable causes. The co-operation of Wal-Mart Canada
and its Managers across Ontario and Québec is a vital part of the Foundation's growth and
is essential to the Foundation's success in carrying out its burn and fire prevention
awareness activities. |
